My Passion for Inclusive Massage Therapy
I've always believed that everyone deserves the benefits of therapeutic touch. Growing up with siblings who have learning difficulties and working in care settings with adults with additional needs shaped my understanding of the importance of empathy, patience, and adaptability.
Throughout my massage career, I've met many people who need extra care for different reasons. I love taking the time to understand each individual—adjusting my approach, communication, and treatment setup to help them feel heard, safe, and comfortable.
In 2024 I completed training in Massage for Autism, SEN, and Mental Health, as well as TAC PAC and continue my professional development in attending workshops, learning about autism, ADHD, trauma and more.
Now, I’m excited to work more with children and young adults, supporting their wellbeing in a way that feels right for them.

Suggested plan
For either TAC PAC or Therapeutic Massage.
Please note, the sessions should not be a mix between the two. Consistency in treatment helps build trust and comfort. Staying with one type of session allows the person to feel secure, anticipate the routine, and fully benefit from the chosen approach.
Meet & Greet:
15-minute in-person introduction for the young person to say hello,
see the studio, and discuss what sessions might look like. To be accompanied ideally by the person who will attend the sessions with them.
A short form to be filled in beforehand.
No commitment at this point.
Consultation:
Communication with guardian regarding future sessions. Guardian to complete a consultation online. Phone call or meeting can be arranged if required.
Sessions:
At least Six 30-minute sessions, every 1-2 weeks. (to be used within 3months)
Session Fees

About the Treatments
How TAC PAC Supports and Benefits the Receiver:
Encourages Non-Verbal Communication:
The combination of sensory input and music allows participants to express themselves and connect without relying on spoken words. This can be especially empowering for those who struggle with traditional communication.
Improves Sensory Processing Skills:
By introducing different textures and rhythmic touch, TAC PAC helps individuals process sensory input in a structured way, which can be calming and gradually improve sensory tolerance.
Promotes Calm and Predictability:
The music in TAC PAC sessions is used consistently, allowing participants to anticipate what will happen next. This predictability can reduce anxiety, increase a sense of safety, and promote relaxation.
Strengthens Trust and Connection:
TAC PAC sessions encourage a therapeutic partnership, building trust between the therapist and receiver. Regular sessions enhance this bond, helping the receiver feel secure and supported as they grow their sensory communication skills.
Open Access to TAC PAC Training
TAC PAC training is open to anyone interested in learning how to facilitate sensory sessions for loved ones or clients. However, by booking sessions with me, you can gain additional benefits that go beyond self-guided training.

2. Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is particularly valuable for children who experience high levels of stress, anxiety, or challenges with emotional regulation, as well as those with SEN. By using therapeutic touch, I help activate natural responses in the body that promote a sense of calm and well-being, including: Dopamine: Enhances focus and improves mood. Endorphins:Reduces stress and fosters happiness. Oxytocin:Encourages feelings of safety and trust. Serotonin:Lifts mood and builds confidence. Melatonin: Supports better sleep. These responses can help children manage their emotions, relax, and improve their focus, making it easier to navigate both home and school environments. |
What I offer
For children age 5+, each session is child-centred and adapted to meet the comfort level of the individual. I understand that some children may be touch-averse or need extra time to feel at ease and work with them at their pace. Gentle Therapeutic Touch: All massages are performed through clothing, with no oils, allowing the client to decide which areas they’re comfortable having massaged (e.g., head, face, arms, hands, feet, legs, or back). Non-touch Therapeutic Activities: For people who may initially feel uncomfortable with physical touch, I incorporate playful activities, such as games and mirroring exercises. These are designed to build trust and confidence, gradually leading up to positive touch when the child feels ready. My services are available in my studio and can also be arranged for schools or community groups. |
TREATMENT POLICY
If the person decides not to engage in a session, they are welcome to use the space to relax, read, listen to music, or
simply enjoy a quiet moment, or they may choose to leave. The full cost of the session will still apply as the time is dedicated specifically to them.
My specialism is touch related, I am not a talking therapist and although there will be talking, I am unable to provide insights on child behaviors or specific strategies for addressing particular issues.
Parent/Guardian Involvement
For younger children and those with SEN, I ensure that a parent or guardian is present during sessions, creating a secure and collaborative environment where caregivers can participate or observe, depending on the child’s comfort level.
Accesibitlity
My private studio is located in the heart of WSM, with a public car park, Grove Park, and the seafront only a five-minute walk away. There is wheelchair space available in my studio, although a ramp is not currently installed. Arrangements can be made for a visit to see if the space works for your needs.
If you’d like to see my space, meet me or have a chat, please do get in touch and I hope to see you soon.
