About Me
It's always nice to know a bit about the person you're coming to see, so here's about me, and how I became a massage therapist.
Before training as a massage therapist, I worked for creative companies in project management and operational processes, helping businesses become more efficient in the way they work. The thought of becoming a massage therapist had not crossed my mind until one morning, I woke up thinking about it. I like to get things done, so I set about researching courses and began my journey towards my favourite and most rewarding work so far as a massage therapist.
That was 2017, since then I've taken many workshops to further my therapeautic touch and understanding of the human body and how amazing and complex it is. Including deep tissue workshops, delving into how to release the shoulder from pain, hot stone massage and a few more!
I'd like to be able to offer massage to as many people as possible rather than turning people away, for not understanding how to work with certain conditions. This is why I qualified in pregnancy massage courses, learning techniques to reduce the growing pains and provide relaxation, and took an Oncology massage course to provide space and therapeautic touch for people who are going, or have been through cancer treatments.
When I'm not using my hands for massage I'm found digging at my allotment, trying my best to be self sufficient. If you're lucky enough to see me after a harvest, you may get a treat of tomatoes or a bunch of flowers!
I'm a fair weather surfer and like to try and skateboard. I'm no expert at any of these things but it's fun and keeps me active.
I understand that for some people who are new to massage, it can seem daunting visiting a therapist for the first time and also for people who may have recieved massage treatments in the past that were not suitable for them, they may be cautious, I'm more than happy to give you a call to talk you through how I provide my treatments and to make sure I can provide a safe and comfortable space for you. If you have any questions, please get in touch.
