What happens at my first appointment?
In short, we talk about which areas you might like focus or to avoid, I suggest a way of working. I then show you to the treatment room and how to get on the massage table. I then leave you to change and get on the table. Treatment is carried out. I'll then leave you for a few minutes as you are and let you know when to get ready so that you can have some water and join the world again. In long - read here About your first treatment.
What is deep tissue massage?
It's not intended to be painful. It's a massage of usually 1 or 2 focus areas, which alllows time to be spent warming them up, to perhaps reach deeper layer of muscles. It can also feel deeply relaxing and is carried out with slow, consistant contact, being sensitive to your bodies reactions. It is not all about elbows and fists and hurting. I'm pregnant, can I still get a massage?
Yes, as long as you are in good health a massage can be carried out at any stage. If you are under a consultants care then we would need to discuss. I am qualified with Wellmother. You can read more about massage in the first trimester on her site.

I have a cold/flu/feel ill, can I have a massage?
No. Please don't attend. Contact me by email or on my number you will have in your introductory email from me. If you're feeling poorly a few days before your appointment, please let me know so that I have time to fill your space.
I have thrombosis, (blood clot / DVT) can I get a massage?
No. This is called a contraindication which means massage should not be carried out. There is a risk of dislodging a clot and causing a pulmonary embolism —which can lead to heart attack or stroke.
What if I need to cancel?
You can do this through your Fresha account, or email /phone / text me.
Full payment is still taken if you give me less than 72hrs notice. Read Terms and conditions here.
How long does my gift card last?
6 months from the day it was purchased. An expiry date will be written on it.
Is there wheelchair access?
Unfortunately not. My studio has a step and I haven't yet managed to source a wheel chair ramp. Once in the studio there is a small space to manouver through to get into the treatment room which is not wheelchair friendly. You can however bring a chaperone if it is possible to walk with some help. Please let me know when booking in if there is anything I can do to accomodate or if you're bringing someone with you.
What is your number?
When you have booked your first appointment I will send you an email with my contact number on. It doesn't appear online as this helps prevent nuissance callers.
What's the address?
