At this special time it's important to do everything you can to look ater yourself.
Time when you can relax and be calm, switch off from the outside world and ease some of the aches and muscle stiffness that may be new to you when your body is changing to provide for your baby.
I tailor the massage to your needs.
We can work on the couch in a side lying position if that is comfortable for you, or we can explore ways to seat you, leaning over the couch, or maybe even kneeling on the floor and over an exercise ball. Your comfort is my priority and we can try different ways until we find one that suits you. It may be that we try all of them over the 9 months!
I offer massages based on time rather than treatment areas, so that I can tailor the massage to suit the individual. Obviously the length of time we have, will dictate how long I spend on each area. We'll decide together the best options for you.

Qualified with Diploma from Wellmother, Validating body APNT. Comfort options Massage couch - you're positioned as you find comfortable, lots of cushions available, side lying is used especially in 2nd/3rd trimester. Futon for floor work - can feel more manageable for some clients, in 2nd/3rd trimester. It can be easier to transition between positions. In the 1st trimester we can include mobilisations to encourage movement. Exercise ball - helpful to lean over encouraging space for your baby and good to work into sacrum area. Futon also used, you don't have to spend your whole time on the ball! If you prefer one option in particular, please call/email to book in so that I can consider time for setting up the room. |

Helping you connect and support one another leading up to, and during labour and birth.
Supportive touch eases tension and assist pain management whilst the body begins to adapt both physically and emotionally during pregnancy and labour.
It is a restful way for all to bond.
Relaxation reduces stress levels, beneficial at all stages during and after pregnancy. Hormones released during relaxation support the process of labour and birth.
Exploring awareness and communication together, creates a greater partner involvement.
To access this session, the woman will need to have attended at least 3 pregnancy massage treatments with me, and ideally the birthing partner at least 1. This helps inform the Birthing Team Tuition session as I will know the medical history, pregnancy journey, likes/dislikes of the Mum to be, as well as all persons feeling comfortable and confident in being able to practice techniques and ask any questions.
Approximate costs are 1hr £80 in WSM area.
This cost may change according to location / time of day etc.
