For those who have been diagnosed with cancer at any point. This is a light touch massage, which can be described as a 'lotioning' technique, as it has soft gliding, nurturing strokes, as if applying a lotion.
A full body massage, or adapted according to what you would like and the time we have.
All massages are tailored to you and how you feel on that day.
You are welcome in my treatment room or you can get in touch to discuss a home visit.
If you are currently under medical supervision, you may want to start with shorter appointment times.
Below session times (as like all my appointments) show the total appointment time,
meaning the time taken to get ready for the massage and re-dress, is carried out within that time.
I do however have a relaxed approach to this and am empathetic to the need of going slow and that there may be difficulty changing or assistance needed. Please know that I will always give you time to go at your own pace, and work on a basis which is fair for both of us regarding time on the couch.
Consultations via phone a few days before the treatment.

One of the reasons I took an oncology massage course was because I had clients who had previously been diagnosed with cancer and family members going through cancer treatment; I wanted to know how I could help with touch therapy and be more educated on what the person was going through.
The course taught the practical side of how to use light touch and certain massage strokes to induce calm, which is needed at a time that can feel scary, uncertain, tiring and upsetting. It also gave information about some of the cancer treatments that people may be going through and how to accommodate for them and ask necessary questions. The course, coupled with my personal experience of being close to people going through different forms of cancer treatment, attending chemotherapy sessions, seeing the side effects of it and visiting them in hospice; has heightened my empathy and understanding of people living with cancer.
I have worked with clients going through cancer treatment, are out of cancer treatment but still need past treatments and operations to be considered, and also within a hospice care setting with someone who had an incurable illness. Experience has shown me, that as with all massage treatments, there is no ‘one-size to fit all’ routine. I’ll work with you and what you need at every stage and every different day.
Personally, as someone who cared for people going through oncology treatment, I also understand the need for carers/supporters to take time for themselves to stop and refuel. If you are researching oncology massage on behalf of a loved one, please consider booking in for yourself too.
